Navigating Intersectional Identities

With the rise in awareness of power, privilege and greater need than ever to create anti-oppressive systems, we must cultivate our awareness of the various identities around us and within us.

This class is not about becoming an expert in equity, diversity and inclusion, rather to learn best practices in acknowledging and navigating our own identities and those we work with as we move through different contexts and community spaces.

In this session, your practice will grow by:

  • Learning the language of identity

  • Accessing a practical tool to reveal your intersectional identities

  • Practice inquiring about the identities of people you work and collaborate with

  • Feel confident moving through your identities as you move through community

This is for you if you want to:

  • Have clarity on the multitude of identities that are influencing our relationships, from race, gender, status, experience, economic, belief, etc

  • Be in a safe and brave space to explore this topic and practice your skills in navigating identities

This is for anyone who is called to learn best practices in acknowledging and navigating our own identities and those we work with .

1 hour 15 minutes + optional Q&A for 15mins

This class will be hosted on Zoom and may include breakout rooms where you will be interacting with other participants.

Faculty: André will host you in this session.
